For the first time Ernst Barlach (1870-1938) and Käthe Kollwitz (1867-1945), the two major artists of German expressionism, are presented in synopsis with their Russian coevals in Russia. With more than 300 works, this exhibition provides an impressive 50 years overview of their artistic work and opens a dialogue to the Russian avant-garde artists. Russian Museum offers a catalogue accompanying the exhibition.
